T-Shirt Mockup Generator

The ArtFont T-Shirt Mockup Generator puts your design on six t-shirt mockups at once — flat lay, folded, on a hanger, 3D front and two worn photos — in 8 shirt colours, free and in your browser. For listing photos with people and places, AI scene mockups render your design on a shirt in any scene you pick or describe.

What is a t-shirt mockup generator?

The ArtFont T-Shirt Mockup Generator puts your design on six t-shirt mockups at once — flat lay, folded, on a hanger, 3D front and two worn photos — in 8 shirt colours, free and in your browser. For listing photos with people and places, AI scene mockups render your design on a shirt in any scene you pick or describe.

A t-shirt mockup generator places a flat design onto photos of blank shirts so you can see — and show buyers — how the print will look before anything is made. This one draws six scenes from one upload and follows the fabric folds, so the result reads as a printed shirt rather than a sticker on a photo.

What problem does it solve?

Print-on-demand listings need mockups, but a mockup subscription is overkill for a few designs, and editing smart objects in Photoshop is slow. Most free mockup sites also watermark the image or ask for an account first. Here you drop a PNG in, pick a shirt colour and download six clean mockups in seconds.

Who is it for?

  • Print-on-demand sellers — listing images for Etsy, Amazon Merch, Shopify and Redbubble
  • Small brands and bands — showing a new tee design on social media before ordering stock
  • Teams, schools and clubs — getting a shirt design approved before the print run
  • Designers — presenting a lettering design to a client on a real-looking shirt

When not to use it

  • Pixel-exact prints in AI scenes. An AI scene redraws the shirt around your design, so small details can differ from your file; the six free mockups place your exact file.
  • Hoodies, mugs, tote bags or all-over prints. This page is t-shirts, front print only.
  • Colour-matching a print run. Shirt colours and inks are simulated on screen; ask your printer for a physical proof.

How to use the T-Shirt Mockup Generator

  1. Step 1

    Add your design

Upload a PNG, pick one of your ArtFont creations, or start from a sample. A transparent background works best.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the shirt

Pick one of 8 shirt colours; all six mockups update at once, the worn photos included.

  3. Step 3

    Place the print

Choose center chest, full front or left chest, then set the print size. Every mockup follows the same spec.

  4. Step 4

    Download

Download one mockup, or all six as a ZIP of 1200 × 1200 PNGs — free, with no watermark.

T-Shirt Mockup Generator vs the alternatives

Placeit

Good at: thousands of photo mockups with models, settings and garment types.

The difference: most scenes need a paid plan to download; here six t-shirt scenes are free with no account.

Canva mockups

Good at: mockups inside a full design editor, alongside your other graphics.

The difference: you place the design by hand in the editor; here one upload fills six scenes with the print area already set.

Photoshop mockup templates

Good at: full control over lighting, texture and custom scenes.

The difference: you need Photoshop and time with smart objects; here it takes seconds in a browser.

If you need a specific model, pose or garment, use Placeit or a Photoshop template. If you need clean t-shirt mockups for a listing in the next minute, for free, this generator is faster.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get a free t-shirt mockup?

Right here: add your design and download six t-shirt mockups — flat lay, folded, hanger, 3D front and two worn photos — as PNGs with no watermark and no account. Black, white, heather grey and five more shirt colours are included, so you also get a black t-shirt mockup in one click.

Is this t-shirt mockup generator really free?

The six standard mockups are. They are drawn in your browser, so there is no sign-up, no credit charge and no watermark on the downloads. AI scene mockups and new lettering designs cost credits.

What is an AI scene mockup?

Pick a scene — coffee shop, park, beach, gym, flat lay and more — or describe your own, and the AI renders a photo of a shirt in that scene with your design printed on it. It costs the same as a design: 13 credits at 2K, 4 for a 1K draft. The words, letter shapes and colours are kept, but small details can differ, so check the print before you list it.

Is my design uploaded anywhere?

Not for the six free mockups: a file you add with "Upload PNG" is read by your browser and never leaves your computer. An AI scene mockup needs the design as its reference, so it is uploaded to your ArtFont account when you generate one.

What size is the print on the mockup?

The print areas follow common print specs: center chest is 10 in wide, full front 12 in wide and up to 14 in tall, left chest 3.5 in — each starting 2.5–3 in below the collar. The size slider scales the design down from there.

Can I use the mockups in my Etsy or Amazon listings?

Yes. You can use the mockup images commercially, including as listing photos. The design on the shirt must be yours or licensed to you; mockups do not change who owns the artwork.

What file should my design be?

A PNG with a transparent background, at least 1000 px wide. JPGs work too, but their white background shows on the shirt. If you need a transparent design, the AI font generator makes one from any text; if your design is stuck inside a photo or poster, LayerGrab (layergrab.com, by the same team) splits it into transparent layers.
